About You
A brilliant scheme, would recommend to anyone wanting to pursue a career in commercial law!
Everyone you walked past in the office (from catering staff and receptionists, to trainees and partners) smiled, said hello and made you feel very welcome. We were even provided with breakfast sandwiches on the second day and the food never stopped coming!
The graduate recruitment team were always available when you needed them and there was the opportunity to network 1-2-1 with a trainee who made an effort to catch up with you over the few days.
An invaluable insight into Linklaters, their vision for the future, and the culture of the firm.
The Company
A great variety of sessions covering everything you wanted to know about the firm. Long days in the office but plenty of brilliant social events and refreshments to keep everyone going!
A great, down to earth firm who went out of their way to make sure everyone felt comfortable.
We were given a personal branding workshop and plenty of opportunities designed to increase our confidence whilst we were in the office.
Probably one of the most effective ways to find out what a career with Linklaters would be like. Spent plenty of time on the floor with associates and trainees and lots of networking opportunities.
Spending the two days in the office allowed me to get a feel for what the atmosphere in Linklaters is really like. The good and the bad!
Everything Else
Both for travel and accommodation was provided for the night between the two days.
We worked 1-2-1 with a trainee who explained their role and took us on a tour of their department in which you were introduced to the other members of staff working there. I was in contact with a partner at the firm before the scheme, and the graduate recruitment team had no problem in taking me up to his department to meet with him and say hello!
Fantastic social event on the first evening- involved cooking pizza and decorating cupcakes in the office restaurant! Plus, you were able to eat everything you had cooked afterwards in the partners' dining room with the other students on the scheme.
When talking to trainees, you were able to gain a real insight into the work and opportunities available at the firm.
A fantastic scheme, would urge everyone to apply!
