The Role
A good company to work for giving the opportunity to get involved it many things outside of work including charity events.
As part of my team I felt valued however outside of the team less so.
The team and supervisor were incredibly supportive throughout the year especially during training. With regular one to one meetings and constant feedback on progress.
This varies significantly throughout the year with month and quarter ends being very busy however less to do in-between
The job comes with a great deal of responsibility for a placement student yet support was always there if it was needed
The role gave me a great understanding of large business's operations. Skills learned from projects set to all placement students in the company were incredibly useful and will help me greatly in the future. However the skills necessary for the job role I am unlikely to use again.
The Company
Ok atmosphere
Across the company the scheme is very well run and organised with many events to get involved with. The scheme is well structured and well organised
Doing a placement at Fujitsu developed me greatly throughout the year. There was the option for many training courses to book onto as well as events scheduled, for example to improve employability.
Financial Bonus
Very good at employing placement students so many prospects to get onto the company graduate scheme
The Culture
Yes, most IP's are based in Reading where there is a good social scene however this greatly depends on the group of students year on year
Housing in Reading is cheap as its a student area
As Reading is a student city the nightlife is good.
There were many things to get involved with outside of work including sports, charity events etc
