The Role
Overall good, with bad patches. However this is the true nature of Audit so it reflects the job well.
People are always welcoming and I have been treated the same as any other graduate employee.
It's always there if needed.
Totally dependent on the specific client. Sometimes nothing much to do, sometimes too much to do.
It built up during the year, but again the same as any other first year grad.
Really useful in terms of the actual audit work (gives a real-life perspective on the theory that is done at uni) but also really handy for general work experience/working with lots of new people/excel skills/communication skills/time-management etc.
The Company
Depends on the team you are working with. I've had fun jobs and dull jobs.
Very good really.
Sat my first 5 ACA exams and did multiple training courses. Pretty much the same investment as a first year grad.
Subsidised Canteen
International Travel
Company Parties/Events
Need to confirm but I'm hoping to return.
The Culture
Not so much other placement students as there are only a few people on the scheme, but the social scene with other grads/employees is good. We do lots of things outside work.
London so obviously expensive but so many things to do/places to go.
London- amazing, can't beat it.
Shame I wasn't able to do more but yes there is.
