The Role
It was really enjoyable. I learned a lot and I made some great friends and connections.
My colleagues were great. They wanted me to do well and valued me as much as full-time employees, which was good.
All of the interns were encouraged to ask questions and get answers. Anything I was unsure of, I knew I could ask my manager or members of my team. They were always there to help.
Just about the perfect balance I would say -- some may disagree but I think it depends on the team you are assigned to.
Pretty much as much responsibility as the rest of team which was nice. It made me feel really part of the team.
Skills for life, definitely. I did the Insight last year and learned skills there but since this was much longer it equipped me with more skills that I feel I can use in my professional career.
The Company
Great atmosphere. Colleagues were friendly and up for a chat. Could take a break whenever - wasn't too strict which was good.
Organised really well. Communications were frequent and clear.
I got all the training I needed and was encouraged to do more if I needed it. My manager told me he does training often too so I think the company really wants everyone to stay on top of their game.
Financial Bonus
My manager said I did really well. Would love to come back as a graduate.
The Culture
Pretty good social scene. Everyone was willing to meet up after work and have a drink/get to know each other.
It is expensive, although I was very conscious of my spending so didn't have too much trouble.
Nightlife was great. Really enjoyable and unforgettable.
Good opportunities to build your network which is always a good thing.
