The Role
Job role was varied and interesting, lots of practical experience
Input was always listened to and valued despite often being most inexperienced.
Guidance and support always given if requested, often given training as and when it was needed throughout year.
Was always work if needed, but weren't overloaded, no short deadlines
I was giving quite a lot of responsibilities for smaller priority projects (designing and building things) and was also involved in higher priority tasks within the team of others.
Everything I've leant in terms of engineering has been very beneficial, how the company is run and the commercial aspect not so much.
The Company
The office generally wasn't the most hyped, was a work atmosphere. There was always some amount of chat between the team I worked within work/non-work related.
Interviews were pretty easy, after this I just got a phone call and a contract posted. Had to make one visit before starting for a medical and to hand in a copy of passport. Once I started there was no real need for any other organisation.
I was lucky to be able to go to Germany (normally get at least one trip abroad in my role), also made supplier visits and went on some training courses at the factory i worked at.

If i had the same job role, I have said I would go back. Am looking for other options though.
The Culture
Wasn't much going on between fellow students, admittedly wasn't in Daventry most weekends.
Daventry is relatively cheap place to live in, only paid 250 a month for rent. Not exactly a student town so weren't amazing drinks offers, but is still fairly cheap.
Social scene is what you make of it. Daventry itself has nothing to offer, often went away for weekends. Can get a train into London for £4 on the Friday or be anywhere decent for 5 as you finish at 1 on Fridays.
A number of opportunities put on by the company and just locally. Played footy once/twice a week with a kick about and a 5 aside league. Also played cricket in a mid week league.
