The Role
One of the best experiences that I've had. I was a bit worried before starting but once I started I really the whole experience.
All the people in my team were really nice and introduced themselves even before the internship started. It made it so much more welcoming when I came into the office on the first day to see some familiar faces. They valued what I had to say and really listened to my ideas even from day one.
I was told from the beginning that there were no such thing as a stupid question and they were right. Even if what I asked seemed trivial, my manager took the time to explain things to me if I wasn't sure and was always available.
Not as busy as I thought it would be but it wasn't easy either. Some days were really busy and I always had something to do, and other days not so much. I feel like they could have balanced it better but I suppose it's different for everyone what they feel is an acceptable work load.
I was doing the jobs that my team members were doing. It really made me feel like I was important as I wasn't given some side job that didn't really matter.
Not really any question that what I've learned will help me in the rest of my degree. Not only that, it will help me when I eventually come back to work for the company as I now have a good idea of how things work in the company.
The Company
Not too serious in the office. I liked it. It was surprising informal but I think that was to everyone's benefit, it definitely helped me work better.
Everything seemed to be in order at the start of it. As I said before, the work load could have been balanced a bit better but it's quite a difficult thing to fine tune for everyone.
They answered all of my questions and taught me what I needed to know for the job. I didn't really get any more training beyond that which was a little disappointing.

Company Parties/Events
They offered me a graduate job.
The Culture
There wasn't really ever a dull day with the other interns. Right from the start I got on really well with all of them and we all had a good laugh together.
Was too expensive for my liking but the salary covered the costs.
Went out quite a lot with the other interns and had a blast. Wish there was more time to go to all the places in the area.
Yes, lots of company events. A few dinners that we could go to and get to know other people. It gave us a good chance to network.
