The Role
It lived up to my expectations. I found myself enjoying it more and more as the internship progressed. Wish it was longer.
I felt really valued, they talked to me quite a lot at the start of the internship to get to know me and were really friendly when I was just starting.
They told me exactly what they wanted from me at the start. I had regular meetings with my manager to check my progress and ask for help if I needed it. If there was anything that I was struggling with he took the time to help me through it.
Very busy but I liked it. Always having something to do made sure that the time I had wasn't wasted. Occasionally there was a bit too much but nothing that I couldn't get through.
A lot. I felt a little bit overwhelmed at the start because I thought I might not be able to do it but my manager was so helpful and showed me that I could.
I learned to communicate better in a team, manage my time better and work better overall. I feel like a more effective worker now.
The Company
Not bad. It was quiet just like any other office that I've been to so that people can work. Not much more to say to be honest.
Thought that it was set up well. I was given information before the start of the internship in plenty time so that I could prepare and during the internship it felt well organised.
They invested quite a lot I think into all of the interns. They spent a lot of time training us so that we could do our jobs effectively and they expect us to come back if they offer us a graduate job.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Secured a graduate job.
The Culture
Yep, the other interns at the company were really friendly and I made some good friends during the internship. We went out sometimes to get a drink in the nearby pubs.
It was ok. Didn't really expect it to be cheap and it wasn't. On the whole it was manageable though.
It was so good. Had lots of fun at the nearby clubs, though only had time to visit a few of them.
They set up some events for the interns which were pretty good fun and a good way of getting to know people. They encouraged us to socialise outside of work too, which we did.
