The Role
I found it interesting being exposed to working in a multinational company and learning a lot about the world of business
My colleagues gave gave me a variety of tasks and they were appreciative of the work I was doing
I was very impressed by the support structure during my placement, there were several colleagues involved in my development and work management
My work load varied during my placement however I was rarely in the position of having little to do
Given the fact I was working with a senior team, there was always going to be a limit to the amount of responsibility I was given, however towards the end of my placement I was given more responsibility
The work I was doing will be useful for my economics degree
The Company
There was a good atmosphere when it was busy, however there were times when there were few of us and it could be a bit quiet
I was involved in a variety of engaging roles, all very different from each other through which I gained a lot of experience
There were regular meetings with supervisors about how I was doing and what I can work on to improve my skills
I was given the option of coming back to do a summer placement next year which I will definitely consider
The Culture
We sometimes went out after work for a drink with colleagues
Being in London it was expensive
Lots of places to go being in London
There were sports teams and other social activities with discounts on cinema/theater etc trips
