The Role
I can hardly express how much I enjoyed it. I really loved every moment of the internship and I wish that it wasn't over so soon.
My colleagues were all really helpful. They listened to all of my opinions and I really feel like they took on board all of my ideas and encouraged me to come up with more. It was a really productive environment to be in.
My manager was always at hand to help me with any difficulties that I had. I found it a little difficult to understand everything at the beginning but my manager was always very supportive and gave me all the help that I needed.
Not too busy but I didn't mind that, it let me work at a pace that I was comfortable with and because I wasn't too stressed I think I produced better quality work.
A lot of responsibility. Some of the applications that I was developing made it to market and were deployed around the world. I'm quite impressed that they give interns this much responsibility.
A lot of the skills that I improved I already felt comfortable with them but this internship helped me improve them to levels that I didn't think were possible so it will definitely help me in the future.
The Company
I didn't really have an opinion on the atmosphere. It wasn't anything too special and nothing really stood out as different from the other offices that I have been in but it wasn't bad either, just average.
I was getting emailed before the internship to tell me what was going to happen in the first weeks of my internship and I feel that this prepared me a bit better for the internship. I do think that a bit more information about the job would have helped as I had to do a lot of learning on the job which I could have done before the internship.
They offered me all of the training that I needed and made sure that I was happy with the work that I was being given. Because of the training, there wasn't really anything that I found to be challenging which is both good and bad because I do like a challenge.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I managed to secure a graduate job with them!
The Culture
I met a lot of people in the first weeks of the internship and there was always something going on outside of work so that we could get to know everyone better. Made quite a few friends which I'll be keeping in contact with.
I'm used to the prices in central London but it's still really pricy but everyone knows that.
I didn't go out as much as I liked but from what I seen, the clubs in London are really awesome. The drinks are a tad expensive though.
There were a couple of events that the company organised for all of the interns. This gave us a good chance to get to know everyone and socialise outside of work. I would have liked to went on more though.
