The Role
Very interesting to see different aspects of so many different companies.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful.
Plenty of training provided and feedback given after every client so there is loads of support.
Audit is seasonal and there was little I could do before Christmas, but since then I've learnt enough to be busy all the time.
I'm given whole sections of the audit file to complete so it is important I do a good job.
Learnt so much, not just in accountancy but also in teamwork and IT skills. This placement will really help me in the next few years. Also learnt to work for 5 days a week, which will help back at uni.
The Company
Colleagues are really easy to get on with, but the work still needs to get done!
Pretty good, the work I do is exactly the same as any graduate starting at the firm so there was little need for special treatment.
I've been on several training courses, and been on special placement workshops to meet other placement people from around the country.
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare/Dental
I would love to get a job offer!
The Culture
Although I'm the only placement student in my office, I've met all the others from around the UK in special training courses. There are also often office drinks nights and I get on well with the other new starters.
Could be worse, cheaper than Surrey where I go to uni. Rent is reasonable and opportunities to have a good time with friends
Nightlife is good, Norwich is a good night out with loads of pubs and bars.
Yes, as I'm doing this survey I've just come back from a cricket match.
