The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement year at Mundipharma. The atmosphere in the company was very positive and friendly and made coming to work each day a joy.
I felt like a part of the team whilst working at Mundipharma not just a placement student. My opinion was respected in meetings and overall I felt like I was valued by my colleagues.
The support I was given was good and the open door policy operated by the management made it easy to go in and talk to them if any problems arose.
The level of work given matched my capabilities at the time and so when I first started they acknowledged the lack of experience I had but as I became a more competent member of the team the workload was increased accordingly to continue to improve my skills.
I was given an appropriate amount of responsibility as I proved I was able to complete tasks outside of the every day tasks.
The skills and training I received made me a more conscientious worker but also allowed me to complete work at a faster rate when returning to study.
The Company
The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming in the lab. Everyone was easy to talk to and approachable when I had any issues or needed help with anything.
The placement was fairly well organized and became more organized as it went on.
I was given internal training of a high standard which allowed me to carry out my role in an efficient manner.

After completing my placement Mundipharma contancted me with regards to a job and I have now begun employment with them.
The Culture
The placement students met up regularly whilst on placement.
As the company was based in Cambridge the cost of living and socializing is quite high.
There are plenty of bars, restaurants, pubs and clubs in Cambridge.
The sport and social club organize a variety of activities throughout the year including theatre trips, beer festivals, bbqs, Camopoly and many more.
