The Role
I loved it, the best year of my life so far.
I felt very welcome in the company. I made many good friends among my colleagues.
Great support given by team leaders, line manager, management etc.
For the majority of my placement I was busy with intersting work, at times though I had little work to do. But this was only for short periods.
Sometimes I was just a project engineer, but somtimes I was acting team leader, working directly with the client. I felt I was trusted with a lot of responsibility.
Essential skills learned for my career and the rest of my degree, as well as life skills.
The Company
Generally a very up-beat and friendly atmosphere.
Very well organised and I felt like I slipped into my role in the company seamlessly.
Aside from the project work, I also had oppotunities for external training on key topics in engineering.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym

Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Extremely, I would love to get a graduate postition with the company.
The Culture
Very good social scene with other young people in the company inside and outside the office.
Bristol isn't cheap, but it a very nice city and I have a great social life here. I would love to move back here.
Bristol nightlife is great.
Many many opportunities for activities outside, so many I didn't have time for most of them.
