The Role
Most of the time, I was really involved in the work I was doing an enjoyed it greatly.
Fellow interns, the branch based staff and the organisers all really made me feel valued.
There were so many different channels for support during the internship it was unbelieveable. These included branch staff, the area director, a "buddy" which we were assigned, and lots of different HR staff based at Canary Wharf, who were contactable at any time.
I always had tasks to do, although due to the restricted time I was on the internship for, I was unable to be trained on the branch system and so was doing similar tasks each week.
We were totally responsible for the project we were given, and we were able to observe and give feedback in all areas of the branch, which was then taken on board by the staff.
The skills I have acquired over the period will assist me in my future career, whatever it may be. From networking skills, to presentation skills, leadership and beyond, it is a massive chance to develop all areas.
The Company
Every retail intern's experience was totally different, but there were events set up for us all to attend weekly.
Lots of masterclasses, training sessions and more.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
There is a new graduate scheme being put out this year, which seems like a great deal, so hopefully I will have shown enough to succeed!
The Culture
