The Role
I always felt like a valued member the ecology team I was part of.
I was always well supported by my manager and more senior colleugues. I always felt I could ask for advice and learned a lot from their experience.
I was nearly always very busy, working on a range of different projects. I was especially busy during the spring/summer months when I was taking part in numerous ecological surveys.
I was given responsibility for numerous aspects of projects from the outset of my placement, including writing reports and survey work.
During my placement I have developed business skills, specific ecology related skills, and general life management skills. These will all benefit me in both my degree and further career.
The Company
The office varied in how busy it was - but always had a friendly atmosphere.
The placement was organised in a relatively efficient manor, and I was always sent the relevant and correct information during the organisation process.
I had various forms of training during my placement, including health and safety training and specific ecology related skills training.
