The Role
I really enjoyed my placement year, it helped me realise what job opportunities are available to me with my degree.
Everyone has been really friendly and have respected me as a member of staff rather than a student
My supervisors have been really supportive the entire year and I felt able to talk to them openly and honestly.
I was busy every day dealing with customer and production quality issues.
I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement but the support of my team/supervisors was given if required
I have gained a lot of skills and knowledge during my placement that will assist me in my future career
The Company
It was a great atmostphere to work in and lovely people to work with
My placement was extremely organised, I had a work plan and regular meetings with my manager to ensure that everything was going well
The company provided both internal and external training courses which were really helpful
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
There is a good graduate scheme within the organisation
The Culture
There were around 20 other placement students so there was a fair amount of social activities
Southern England can be quite expensive
There are a number of pubs/bars/restaurants in Ramsgate/Broadstairs
Lots of opportunities through the Sports & Social club
