The Role
It was a phenomenal opportunity to work with experienced professionals, something which did not come easily during my time at Uni.
Loved the team I worked with, although I was sometimes I felt I was treated as a resource rather than a contributing member. My manager was easily one of the best people I have met all year.
Support was given all the way, and as an inexperienced member of the team it was nice to work under a philosophy of getting things done rather than perfect.
Busy, but it was always with work that I enjoyed. There are a lot of opportunities to do projects that you enjoy in your Intern year.
Ran a support project for all Microsoft's corporate customers in the UK, which was rolled out in the US and Europe after only 3 months. I was pushed in the right direction by my manager but he gave me free rein to talk to Senior Business Managers and get this adopted globally.

The Company
Professional to the extent where we got work done, but everyone is open to having a chat about pretty much anything. Really chilled out. :)
Great structure to the internship, although I was bunged around from team to team in my department. The work was all the same though so it did not present much of a problem..
It was a phenomenally large amount of help given to the interns are really helped to train us in any way we needed. And it's not like the Microsoft name has no credibility either.
