The Role
The friendly environment and calm atmosphere made working as an accountant in my placement very enjoyable
Help was always at hand, and not once was I treated differently. I was respected and treated brilliantly and was trusted to be given great responsibility in tasks.
Had monthly meetings to discuss progress with certain issues, but also were always available to asssist with any queries that I may have had.
I always had something to do as in accounting there were always problems to solve when numbers didn't add up. I also had other tasks that involved working with other departments that kept me busy.
One thing that I was really pleased with my placement was that I was always given tasks that involved great responsibility and that made the placement a sucess for me.
I have developed many skills and received lots of training which I believe has been priceless. Not only has this given me work experience and linked with what I have learnt at university, but it has also given me greater understanding of the world of accounting, and what it would be like to work as an accountant.
The Company
I was very pleased that I worked in an atmosphere where everyone was so friendly and always cheerful.
Could not fault how the placement was set up during the year. Everything was well organised.
I had several courses that helped with my personal development throughout the year. There were also seminars that ran during one period of the year that explained simple skills that are needed to be applied when working in an office environment.
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare from home
I have enjoyed my placement a lot with the company, and if I was offered a job I would very much like to continue after university.
The Culture
There were several other placement students within the company, and in some occasions social events did take place
Redhill is an affordable area to live and work in
no comment
Sometimes during the year, there were bowling or paintballing events that took place
