The Role
Hands on experience with the latest and greatest technologies. Also gained great insights in customer facing roles.
Was treated as a full time employee and hardly felt like an intern.
With the ability to network easily with anyone in the organization and get involved in many mentoring programs, support was everywhere. However, my mentors and managers provided me with the support and guidance needed, and involved the appropriate partners in my project when requested.
I am pretty busy in my day to day role, however my manager was flexible on deadlines which enabled me to balance my work life balance.
As said previously, I hardly felt like an intern and was proactively involved in many customer and partner projects throughout the industry!
I believe I gained more skills in my placement that would be greater or equal to my two years at University.
The Company
Very opened, relaxing and friendly.
Staffing team at Microsoft did a great job in organizing the intern program.

There is no retention program in place for interns and to my knowledge, you have to apply to the MACH program if you would like graduate opportunities.
The Culture
Good, but Edinburgh is expensive.
