The Role
I have really enjoyed the placement year, as I have developed my technical skills and gone all over the UK to different game studios
I am highly valued as I am responsible for key parts of the project I have been working on.
I have been given a lot of support in many of the projects have I worked on.
I have been very busy at points but that is more due to working with game studios and them releasing their games on a tight schedule.
I took responsibility of major areas of projects the same as real employees at Microsoft and made decisions on what I did in these areas.
From technical to general career development I have gained invaluable skills in my time at Microsoft.
The Company
There has been a mixture of fun elements especially when I visit the studios
The general internship is seamless, however, in the department I was in there was some occasions when it wasn't.
Paid for ISTQB training and went to conferences.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
Looking good still advanced on applying for jobs, but I still have to go to interviews
The Culture
Interns going out every weekend.
fairly reasonable.
Standard mixture of bars, pubs and clubs.
From intern teams to general helps on projects there are loads.
