The Role
A very positive environment with plenty of opportunities to develop and network yourself.
My colleagues and I get a long well and they value my opinions and ideas. They also offer me the opportunities to take part in their projects which are not necessarily a part of my day to day role.
My manager and colleagues would provide assistance when needed and is always available for one to one meetings and discussions when necessary. They also impart valuable knowledge to assist with my day to day role and also for additional projects I take on within the company.
Depending on what was going on in the day some days were busier than others but there was always plenty to do. I was also given the opportunity to take on other projects to fill my time and my colleagues were always happy to support me with those.
I was given the same responsibilities as a full time employee as I began. There was support provided when needed, and also the opportunity to work closely with partners.
I have gained improved communication, interpersonal and technical skills. My day to day role and additional projects have taught and reinforced concepts which will be highly beneficial to my final year modules.
The Company
Everyone is always very friendly and would stop by to have a chat.
Though my role has existed for several years now so it was loosely structured as everything depended on what needs to be done. In terns of the intern scheme, there were events set up during the year but I felt that more should have been done to have a closer knit community among interns
There was plenty of opportunities, but some were not structured well.

There aren't too many technical roles that align with my current interests, but I definitely loved the atmosphere and the work ethics within the company and will always be open roles.
The Culture
There was segregation between placement students working in different offices, but within my department itself, everyone is very friendly and supportive.
It depends on where you go to. There are always cheaper alternatives for socializing, but the crowd can get a bit rough.
