The Role
Everyday was such an amazing experience, from meeting new people and experiencing the culture through to my day-to-day job activities.
Your colleagues allow you to start on a fresh page just like any other new employee. How they treat you is totally down to you and your behaviour. You have the ability to be treated just like a normal full time employee who has spent over 10 years in the business.
I was always given support and guidance by my managers and mentors. I could always rely on them, even outside formal mentoring sessions and they were always happy to take time out of their day to have a quick chat or give me some advice.
I was busy throughout the day, but that's because I was involved in so many stretch projects that I thoroughly enjoyed. I managed my work load with my manager, explained what I would like to get involved in and what I enjoy, then scheduled my work role and stretch project allocation times accordingly.
I was given the same responsibility as full time graduates and in some cases, employees who had spent over 10 years in the business. This was an incredible experience and is a steep learning curve throughout the year.
The skills I learnt have and experience I had has lead to several offers for a Masters degree from the best universities and business schools in the world, and has exponentially increased my employability.
The Company
There were times for play and times where we were all hard at work, depending on project deadlines, team meetings etc. Work hard, play hard!

Not as good as London!
What you do at Microsoft is totally down to you. You can get involved with any project you want, even with the VP's, depending on how well you know them and how you build your rapport with them.
