The Role
Very enjoyable placement, great company to work for and I learnt a lot
Interns are valued employees and treated the same as everyone else
Management are really supportive and there are lots of people who care about how you are getting on and who are happy to help
Sometimes busier than others but never had nothing to do!
Depends on the team and the role as to how much opportunity there is to lead projects
I took up opportunities to strengthen my skills by practising skills such as presenting and event management. This will be invaluable at university and beyond
The Company
Relaxed atmosphere, easy to do your own thing or have fun with your team
Lots of on-boarding and training opportunities available and lot of support available if you need it.
With personal development schemes, opportunities to get involved in events, take on work experience or shadowing it is clear that Microsoft want you to succeed as a person and as an employee
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Working from home
Help given to come back as a MACH graduate and opportunities to come back as a contractor
The Culture
Similar to a university setting, living and going out with other interns
Similar to London
Reading has lots of students and its so close to London
There are some sports societies
