The HR team sets up a lot of team building events for interns. But within your team it depends on the manger, I could say that my team was very well organized.
Microsoft allows you to go to a lot of different trainings, and pays for travel expanses.

Yes, there are a lot of social events that you can attend.
London is great for socialising, but very expensive to live in.
Great night-life, big city. You can do whatever you want.
There are a lot of events, where you can volunteer to help. Take part in different Microsoft activities outside of your job role.
