The Role
My first six months were unfortunately a bit of a disappoint with regards to the role I had. Luckily the final 6 month were amazing and I really enjoyed that aspect. The reason for these discrepancies are down to my first half being spent at MSN where I didn't feel challenged or that I was carrying out the job I was signed up for, whereas at Soho Productions in the second half I had a greater experience accomplishing work that challenged and interested me at every level. All following ratings will be based on my time spent at Soho Productions
Had the opportunity to develop a core functionality feature for the app from start to finish which gave me real ownership and a great sense of responsibility within m team.
Real chance to learn programming languages and technologies while also an opportunity to develop my personal skills
The Company
There is a great atmosphere in all of Microsoft's offices that are welcoming and allowed me to really become comfortable and settle in with my team
In general was well organised in the beginning however during the kerfuffle of moving roles due to my old team being made redundant there was a fair amount of disorganisation that left me in the lurch for 2 months
There were plenty of great opportunities for personal training and development within the company however being in a technical team means I had to seek these out myself more often than not
