The Role
It has been a great year, I had so much responsibility and the intern community is great fun.
I felt valued as if a full time employee, there is so much that you can get involved in.
There are great mentor opportunities, my I have had a few managers throughout the year and they have all valued me and given me great guidance.
Always busy, and if I wasn't busy there is always a project that I can get involved with or help out.
I was responsible for the first point of employee contact for any HR related questions for 400 employees and their payroll. So plenty of responsibility!
I have developed so many soft skills that I can both in my studies when I go back to University and also for future job applications
The Company
We were all really busy, but everyone gets on really well and is quite sociable.
Really well organised
There are so many opportunities to invest in your personal development, from senior leadership mentors and stretch projects.

Unfortunately there isn't a graduate scheme in HR the department that I'm in, but there is opportunity to come back as a contractor.
The Culture
The intern community all got on really well, we had a welcome day to meet other interns and find housemates. We are all really similar and there are lots of nights out and social events.
Reading is alright priced, it's affordable to live and have a good social life on the income that we get.
There are lots of cheap clubs near where we live
There were lots of opportunities to shadow other employees and do stretch projects outside of your role
