The Role
The work placement was very enjoyable as the work was very interesting with new challeneges everyday.
Your colleagues really do rely on you to do your job correctly so as not to interupt the business flow and ensure dealdines are met. The responsibilty is very high.
The support offered was very high and anyone was willing to help you with a problem you were stuck on, or point you to someone who could help you.
This really depended on the needs of the business, some days are very busy, others not so much.
The level of responsibilty is very high, to the point were could be placed in charge of up to 40 other people if your manager is away on leave.
My skills were developed enormously and I know I will use the experience and knowleged I have receieved here for life.
The Company
The atmosphere could change daily but on the whole it was a very active place with lots of people coming and going all the time.
The internship programm has been running for years so the organisation's procudures are firm and in place.
The company allows you to get involved with Six Sigma practices through a days induction training.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
The opportunites for future employment prospects are very high as the company tends to employ Graduates from the Internship scheme.
The Culture
As the company takes on up to 55 interns the social scene was very good and fellow interns become you new close friends.
As with most other cities you can live as lavishly or as cheaply as you want.
Cardiff is a great night out, full of other students.
The company is very involved in lots of different volunteering projects and you can be as much or as little involved in them as you want.
