  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We were payed very well for students! We were given tours of the site and many people gave up their work time to show us what they did. In my view the company invested a lot in us, and i am definately going to apply to come back in the future.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The summer placements, industrial placements and graduates all set up some social activities and as a summer placement i was invited to attend them all, of which there were many! Also my office collegues had a few socials in my time here and i was included in them all and thouroghly enjoyed all of them!

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I lived with my parents during my placement so i didnt have to pay rent! The north west must be one of the cheapest places in the country and there are plenty of supermarkets you can pick cheap things up. The beer is cheaper than anywhere i have been in this country too!

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • There are some good bars and clubs around and can have a good night at not so much cost. Though the number of students out is very low. The average age can be quite high!

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were plenty of socials put on to get involved in, such as paintballing and go-karting plus nights out. There were opportunities to play sport as well, the office played a couple of football games whilst i was there which i got involved in.
