The Role
Great insight to the workings of a top national law firm; hands on experience; very welcoming and friendly; good work and social balance.
Very supportive; without exception everyone made time for enquiries or problems during the placement; very open and friendly.
Provided tasks at a good level of understanding; allowed genuine insight to day-to-day workings.
One department was very busy, other less so, overall balanced out.
Would have liked more, but due to nature of work involved often this was not possible; still good level of autonomy and responsibility.
Invaluable insight to work at commerical law firm and role of a trainee.
The Company
Two contrasting departments, reflecting the nature of the work; one had collegiate atmosphere, other more independant; observed a range.
Highly organised, well thought-out and structured; very accommodating to individual needs and interests.
Made specific requirements to spend time with a particular partner which was welcomed; trainees provided assistance and guidance with tasks.
Ask me in three weeks...
The Culture
Some more than others!
I live within the locailty, not an issue; generally good value for money.
Living in this area, nightlife is fairly limited (depending on taste); however, easy access to London, Bournemouth and Brighton.
Other than the socials, not something I had the opportunity to get involved with.
