    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • A fantastic experience. You get out of it what you put in. Got involved in high profile projects after proving more than capable to carry out core role. Extremely enjoyable place to work, hard working but fun. No direct development system but your role consists of real tasks that make a difference. Made great friends too.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?

    • Ended up feeling very close to my team and very much part of Disney. Everyone is friendly and values what interns bring to the company.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?

    • A lot- manager was always very keen to help me progress and get more out of my placement. Also when times were tough, helped me push back on work.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • Always busy, always things to do. But its key not to get too stressed out. Plan and prioritise well. I struggled at first but used my manager to help me with my workload.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • Fully responsible for all core job tasks And high profile projects. Felt like a full time employee , not an intern.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • The year has taught me a lot and furthered me as a person for sure. I became more hard working, organised, confident, effective with all communication methods. Really progressed my skillset to a point where I feel I can get any grad job.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • Really fun, laid back but hard working. As you can imagine loads of disney merch and themed stuff everywhere.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?

    • Varies team by team. Ultimately each team has an intern and manages intern roles and resps themselves. All Interns fundamental to effectiveness Of team. Would have preffered a bit more structured development.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • I pushed myself and team helped. If I hadn't I would have not received any substantial development.

    • No grad scheme. If entry level Role comes up they do seem to Hire a lot of previous interns!

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • Great number and bunch of interns. Great social scene a lot going on. Many nights out, involved in football And lots of other things.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • Fine. London prices expensive but salary covers. Never felt restricted.

    • London nightlife is awesome. You will find everything there.

    • Disney has many volunteering projects.
