The Role
Really enjoyable, but personally I prefer consumer facing marketing.
Everyone respects you so much, you're not like a placement student, more like a normal colleague.
Lot's of initial meetings to review my progress. As you move on you don't need them as frequently but I still felt really supported.
By the end of my placement I had the same role as a normal employee. At first if I found things quiet, I would just ask for more work. At times I did feel really busy when there were exhibitions etc as well as your normal workload, but you just get used to it and crack on!
Tons. If you show that you can work well at first your level of responsibility will continue to increase. People will trust you if you can prove you work well.
Relevant for a future career, but I don't know if many of the skills will be used in my final year.
The Company
There are fun events and things to attend, but the general office vibe is calm.
The only let down is that there is not much official training which in a way is nice but it would be useful at the start.
I've been on a few brilliant training courses that will really help me in the future, but there aren't loads of these to attend.

Working from home
They have said they would love to give me a job, however they can't offer it to me until the headcount is decided later in the year.
The Culture
For us it was great, we had regular socials and events as placement students. I guess it depends a bit on your crowd though.
I was lucky and lived at home, so my rent was cheaper than the other students. I'd say costs round here are pretty average though, a lot cheaper than London.
It's good you can go to Wokingham for drinks or Reading for a proper night out, but the actual area where the office is there is nothing!
There are lots of things to do in the area.
