The Role
Loved every minute of it. Really is a different job every day so you never know what to expect.
Very professional but very welcoming.
Tell you everything you need to do to improve.
Very busy but this really suited me personally. If you are not going to make a big commitment to your placement year it is not for you.
From start to finish you have a huge amount of responsibility, you are given the keys to a global company.
I have learnt more in 11 months than 2 years of Sixth Form and 2 years of University combined.
The Company
Very professional and hard working environment. Everyone enjoys a chat and laugh as well though - they are all human.
So organised there is a structure whiched is followed throughout.
So much time and effort spent on our training. Essentially the training never stops.
Above 25 days holiday
Just about to be told whether we should reaply or not but I see it as the company I would like to work for upon graduation so hopefully they do too.
The Culture
First half of the placement is more isolated as time is spent away from the other industrial placements. The second half has uch more opportunity to socialise with peers.
Manchester is the nearest city so generally this is the place where social activities take place. Much cheaper than London but still city centre prices.
Very good restaurants, bars and clubs on offer in Manchester. In store time based in Huddersfield so not as great there but still fairly good.
Most things happen in work time or at organised occassions e.g. Christmas. Up to the individuals to organise activities outside of work.
