The Role
Overall it was an excellent experience. There was challenging and varied work and it is a great firm to work for.
Great team ethos, very friendly people who make you feel welcome and valued from the start.
Great network of support and mentoring. I was assigned a counsellor at management level to help me with any problems.
There were some exceptionally busy periods but generally, the balance of work was good.
I was given meaningful work from the start and was encouraged to work independently and take on new challenges.
It improved my teamwork skills and gave me a great insight to how different companies work. It was a unique opportunity to have this experience within a degree course. I also improved my excel skills dramatically!
The Company
Very friendly staff, and plenty of department/whole office social events!
Very well organised and I was well informed throughout the whole process.
Excellent training throughout the year, also a great opportunity to study for and sit the first stage of ACA exams.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Great company to work for, and was thrilled to receive a graduate offer!
The Culture
There was a close bond amongst placement students thanks to our induction and training weeks. There were also lots of social events with different teams and departments.
My placement was in London so was probably a bit more expensive than the regions. However, as I have lived in London my whole life I didn't notice too much!
Lots of different places from relaxed pubs/bars to nightclubs within easy reach.
I took part in 2 corporate social responsibility days where we did charity work. There are ample opportunities to help with charity events and other events in the office.
