The Role
It was a great experience to learn about the environment in a company like IBM
I didn't work too closely with many people, but the people I did work with appreciated it.
The placement managers are always on hand to help, and give you great career support and guidence
It was very variable, but there was always something to do
I felt I had a good level of responsibility for an intern
Transferable skills were improved a lot, and general knowledge of the environment
The Company
We had a small team, but sitting close together helped the team interact more.
Its a very well run and established placement, they change things every year to constantly improve.
We have career days throughout the year to assist us, and help if we want to apply back.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
Its not for everyone, but you can learn a lot about it on your year
The Culture
Yes, there are a lot of students in london and portsmouth so a good social scene
Good, lots of student housing about so you can get it cheap if you want
Good in the student areas, lots of events on throughout the year
Not really that were linked to ibm, but there were in the local area
