The Role
Had its ups and downs. The lack of engineering wasn't expected, but learning the business environment and managing my own projects was good. I found it to be not particularly challenging.
Everyone in my department were brilliant. Many laughs and all very approachable.
Monthly mentor meetings were helpful, and the boss was always available to talk to.
The main issue I had whilst here. Very up and down purely depending on how my vehicles were performing. Spent a lot of time not doing much.
The most impressive bit of this placement. The responsibilities are huge, and the same as any other engineer in the department.
It has given me good experience for future jobs. Degree studies won't benefit much from it.
The Company
As I said earlier, the department were always friendly and never short on humour.
Started pretty badly, somethings were very last minute. But has definitely improved.
They paid for me to go on a training course to help my development, and have many in-house courses and training to attend.
Think the company would like to have me back as a graduate.
The Culture
Our house was cheap on the rent, and food and drink prices were pretty standard.
Had some decent nights out at the local clubs/bars.
Many sports clubs run by the company, and some events arranged throughout the year by them.
