The Role
My placement has been great in terms of being based around what I study. There are also a lot of opportunities at Toyota in terms of training and other events that happen throughout the year. To improve my placement even more would be to increase the workload at some points.
My Team were very friendly from the first day, they seem to genuninely care and are always willing to help!
My manager was extremely helpful with all activites throughout the year, he was always willing to help and has a very understanding nature
Personally, I would've liked to be more busy however it did depend on what was going on at that point in time
There is quite a lot of responsibility in terms of meeting deadlines and creating suffient reports
There is a lot of opportunites at Toyota to undergo training in different subjects. I was able to do an advanced health & safety, advanced excel and presentation skills course which I beleive will help me during my last year at university and beyond
The Company
Day -to day there is a calm, friendly atmosphere in my division. During certain times of the year, for example Christmas and Easter, Toyota aim to create an exciting atmosphere by introducing games and interaactive events to lightnen the mood during these periods.
The set up was extremely smooth, I was given an initial 2 week handover with the previous student and everything is planned well.
Again, you are given the opportunity to take part in training that you and your manager feel you will benefit from
