    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I really enjoyed my time at L'Oreal and learnt a huge amount.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?

    • This varied from person to person. Some people valued me hugely and I had massive amounts of input on ideas, where as other people didn't ask me for anything in the whole time I was here.

    • I felt comfortable asking for help from my supervisors and they were always friendly and supportive.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • I was able to keep a good balance of work throughout my time at L'Oreal, only on occasion would I have to stay late due to too much work.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • I was surprised about how much responsibility was placed on my shoulders here. It was great seeing projects that I worked on go live and be seen all over.

    • I have learnt invaluable skills that will help me progress in this field of work.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • The atmosphere was always positive and casual. When work needed to be done though people understand and let you get on with it.

    • The business was well organised throughout. At somes points the organisation dropped and it became a bit more rushed.

    • The company tried to develop me as much as possible through many different things such as internal education and other things outside of the company.

    • Great opportunity for graduate role however it is extremely competitive.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • Close reliationships built with other interns. Had a social community to organise nights out/events.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • Living in central London is expensive! As long as you manage your money effectively its easy enough.

    • As above, good night life but very expensive!

    • London offers so many different opportunities that you'll be spoilt for choice.
