The Role
I was given a large amount of freedom within the company to work on multiple project within different areas. Work was always varied, challenging and extremely rewarding.
Working as part of two teams, based in areas of Marketing I was made to feel very welcome by both teams. All of whom I consider to be good friends and are always there to support me.
I have been given incredible guidance through any issues i encountered throughout my internship. My managers really empathize and respect my feelings.
I have the perfect balance of work. Sometime depending on events or project deadlines workloads would be higher some days and lower others, but I was never bored and there's always more work if i wanted it.
As an intern Intel treat you as a full employee. I was given a very large amount of responsibility and trust, which helped me feel like I was a worthwhile member of the team.
I learnt something you cannot learn in university and thats business culture. Working in such a large, dynamic tech company I have seen changing strategies and how these have affected business operations and it really has been interesting. At uni you mostly learn about theories and I find it rather dull, its when I see these theories applied in a real-time business environment that I can fully understand and appreciate them.
The Company
As with all offices, they are not the most exciting places ever, but my team and I made it fun.
Seamless - it has been a very long running programme.
I have done many trainings and personal development courses are readily available.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Hire back rates are high, but so is intern intake. I would like to think I have earned a job back but will find out later this year.
The Culture
Great intern culture, nightlife, events. Always something going on.
Average, everywhere expensive nowadays. Earn enough to go out when we went and eat out when we want.
Various bars in the old town area, plus a scattering of clubs too.
Sports,etc all available
