About You
Really enjoiyed the placement at Walker Morris, they provided varied activities and workshops throughout the week and the department I was placed in were really friendly and kept mw busy throughout the week! Really enjoyed the social aspects of the placement as well, especially the relaxed environments the provided to get to know the trainees and feel part of the firm.
Everyone at Walker Morris was really friendly and welcoming. My department had me working on real cases and work so it really felt like you were making a difference and getting to be part of the firm.
There was always clear guidance and support right from the first day through introductory sessions about who you could contact with any problems. Supervisors and trainee buddies also provided a great contact for any problems/issues.
Gained lots of hands on experience which have improved my skills and will be useful when being a trainee from in-depth research to drafting client letters.
The Company
Given a clear structure about the week prior to commencing the vacation scheme and on the first day, it was held to very well. Always knew where I needed to be and what was coming next.
Everyone was really friendly and the firm definitely had a great vibe to it.
Provided workshops for us to develop professional skills, they allowed us to work of real cases and assist with whatever we could. The whole firm was really invovled in trying to make sure you had a good experience and really got to experience what it was like to be a commercial solicitor.
Through having your own workload which sometimes meant sating late/starting early really emphasized what it would be like. Honest trainees that were willing to tell you what it was really like but also why they enjoyed it so much.
I expected the firm to be really friendly due to things I had heard about them and my experience on the assessment centre and it was all emphasized during the week.
Everything Else
Really helped make things clear and show the world of a commercial solicitor.
The firm provided social events from lunches with trainees and supervisors to nights out with the current trainees.
Great! They provided relaxed opportunities which were perfect for you to really feel comfortable with the other trainees.
Spoke to other people within the firm who are part of the football/netball teams which was great.
I have had such a great experience with the firm and would definitely recommed them!
