About You
I really enjoyed my time at SH; the work was interesting, I got a real feel for what it would be like to work at the firm and the socials were good fun!
Everyone was very friendly and I received positive feedback on pieces of work from a number of lawyers and trainees.
The buddy and supervisor system meant that there was always someone to go to if I had a question/was unsure what to do. Alex Chadwick - my buddy in Real Estate and Jide Adesokan - my supervisor in MIT, were particularly helpful, providing me with feedback on pieces of work.
I developed a number of skills which will be useful to me as a trainee; including letter drafting, legal research, organising data and above all, using my initiative to complete tasks swiftly and accurately.
The Company
On the whole, well structured; it may be valuable for students to have more than one full day at their desks (for the whole day). The talks in the morning, although very valuable, sometimes meant that we did not return to our desks and our work until 1130/1200 and meant that we did not achieve very much before lunch.
Very friendly and upbeat. I would highly recommend an SH vacation scheme!
