The Role
very useful experience. I have got a lot of tehcnical skills and organisational skills to transfer to my uni project next year.
Respectful people. They are friendly.
My Training and Development Manager was excellent; absolutely superb! Very motivated manager that was willing to make sure that I got the most benefit out of the scheme. Having an excellent manager makes all the difference if you want to enjoy your placement as they will actively seek opportunities for developing your skills. The manager himself gave me a lot of interesting tasks which boosted my confidence and my organisational skills.
I was reasonably busy throughout the placement and i was given a wide range of interesting work to do.
Senior engineers are willing to give students interesting work if they prove themselves to be reilable. As you progress through the scheme, senior engineers will give you more technical responsbility in the project.
I study Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The placement involved a lot of on the job training on Programmable Logic Controllers and SCADA solutions. I was challenged technically everytime and so I will definately give this the full mark!
The Company
A lot of banter especially in engineering office!
Well set up by the training and development manager.
£100's of pounds were invested in getting me to acquire the right skills.
