About You
Itnwas only a day long but gave a brilliant insight into all aspects of the firm, including leisure, food, and the culture of the firm
Everyone was so approachable and the graduate team learned my name straight away so it seemed that they cared amongst all the people there
The presentations were very helpful and staff and trainees alike were there to answer any queries whatsoever
The negotiation skills exercise was fantastic and so helpful, both during my degree, as well as what I plan on doing when I finish in the commercial environment
The Company
Timing was very well thought out and not too much time was spent on any of the activities. It gave me a taste into everything the firm has to offer and I remained engaged with the content throughout
Everyone was welcoming and even though it was a stressful environment, everyone seemed to have time if you approached them.
The activities provided did this, however it was slightly limited due to time constraints
Work shadowing in particular helped me understand this. Having the tour and seeing people in their offices was a great help in realising this also
It showed people 'off record' and how they work. Being inside the building showed me the strong branding and belief in the firm name
Everything Else
A very simple process and they were happy to reimburse all expenses
Networking lunch and 'speed dating' with some of the main departments
Very insightful, however many times I had little opportunity to ask my questions, though they were answered in general by other people
The tour showed us the gym and the trainee told me all about their sporting opportunities and pro bono work
Such a fantastic opportunity, even if you're not sure if an international, or even a City law firm is for you. I was in this mindset before, but now I would definitely like to work here
