The Role
The rotaional scheme was really enjoyable and gave a lot of variety to the course and an exposure to lots of different desks. It was a pleasant experience
Colleagues kept professional distance and were helpful. But never like family
Management was always forthcoming in providing assistance and support. Traders are usually very busy but they agreed to help put and solve problems whenever they could.
It was pefrect for first 7 weeks and a half. Last 2 and a half weeks I hardly had any work load
can not expect too much responsibility on a trading desk, but was given good projects and freedom to work on them as I wanted. there was accountability
My degree is quite different than the work I did. But it will certainly help me in finance courses and projects I will do
The Company
Extremely friendly and vibrant. Very enthusiastic people
Mixed experience. Some aspects like rotation were very well organised. other aspects like regular feedback were bad.
Quite excellent training facilities provided. Good chance of personal development through multiple networking sessions
Would love to come back to work for them. Work environment is much better than American banks
The Culture
Really good social scene facilitated by HR initiatives
Central London is fairly expensive. You can enjoy a lot if you are well paid
Nightlife was vibrant. Only bad thing is none or sparse public transport at night apart from cabs and night buses
Not much apart from networking events and a community day
