    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Accenture. Everyone was very friendly and helpful plus as some many interns are taking on in one go, you make friends with your colleagues very easily and have a wealth of people to go to for advice.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Accenture has many rewards some as performance points, bonuses and the company is really big on recognising achievements.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My manager worked very closely with me and took time to explain complex technical situations to ensure that i could keep up. I will be keeping in touch with them in the future.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some days were extremely busy and other days, I had free time. There are always opportunities to pick up extra work though - organising socials, getting involved with different networks etc.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • You are given as much responsibility as you are willing to take on. Accenture treats interns as if they are analysts who have graduated so as well as taking on responsibiltites, you are accountable for any mistakes.

  • Accenture are very big on ensuring their employees are motivated from buying chocolates. cakes etc to training and ensuring that employees receive feedback on their work.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The same representatives were in touch with us from before we joined through towards the end of the placement and they could be contacted about anything and would point us in the right direction. They also organised the induction week, the socials and all the HR paper work.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    Financial Bonus

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Future employment prospects are very appealing. There is a huge financial incentive plus the fact that i know what the organisation is about and tips for getting ahead now that i have spent some time there.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There a dozens of socials organised throughout the year and with so many interns taken on, it is guaranteed that you will make friends with someone and you will all have lots to talk about as you are all in the same boat.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Central London is obviously very expensive but the pay is high for an internship and you get to go on a lot of company socials.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • London has an amazing night life no matter what type of music or scene you like - if anything, you would struggle to get through all the night life during the time span of the internship.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Each project has a 'Life@' team which are responsible for keeping communication going throughout the account. This involves organising socials, sending out newsletters, organising account updates and so forth. This is mainly run by analysts so they love interns getting involves. This can also be done on a wider level through the different networks in the organisation.
