The Role
The work undertaken in store was challenging but very enjoyable which made the job very rewarding.
Whilst in store the team were very helpful throughout especially during the training, we other industrial placement students had a good relationship with each other as well.
Overall there was a lot of guidance and support throughout the placement. There were times during the store work where I felt that I had been thrown in and left to work things out myself which was a positive thing because if you got it right then that boosted my confidence, however if I made a mistake I would learn from it and move on.
At times in store the work was very hectic but you learn to manage your time efficiently in order to complete all the tasks that were needed.
During the store time from about the fourth week you already have lots of responsibilities and by the end of the training you will be running shifts and controlling the day.
I have developed so many different skills that will not only help me in my final year of study but also in the continuing working life.
The Company
I had a great relationship with all the members in my store team.
Both the store time and the office time were well organised, however there were sometimes in the office where we would spend a little too much time in a single department.
I felt that you were never forgotten about during my time in the placement, Feedback was passed back regularly.

The Culture
All the other placement students got on really well and we would try and meet up for lunch as often as we could. Also during projects in Head Office we would normally work in small groups which was good.
During the store time you are given 4 weeks worth of rotas so it is easy to manage your time around your work.
