The Role
My placement was fulfilling and beneficial. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Great group of people to work with, welcomed from day one.
Colleagues were more than willing to explain issues or provide help with any queries I had. If they could not help me, they would point me into the direction of somebody that could help.
Some days were very demanding, others not so much
The more time spent gaining confidence within the company the more responsibility I've been given, for decision making and also for advice.
My placement has made me realise the absolute essentials required for working in business. It has also given me an idea of the things I need to work on at university ready for the business world.
The Company
Great group of people, social events were organised outside of the office. The atmosphere was not too 'uptight'
Could have been a little more organised in terms of training for the systems I used. Being the first sales and marketing placement student the team had it was as much as a learning curve for them as it has been for me.
Had the opportunity to go on an excel course. Most of the systems I used have all been a learn as you go approach.
Subsidised Canteen
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
The marketing side of the business is definitely growing which hopefully will bring opportunities with it!
The Culture
Yes, social events are organised by existing employees which welcome students along
Fortunate enough to get a place close to home!
Not great within a short taxi journey (10 mins). 3 major cities within an hours distance
There is plenty of sports clubs locally, existing employees invited those with similar interests to activities.
