The Role
Very friendly people and amazing office. Enjoyed being kept busy but at times had little to do.
The team I was in was working on a huge project. As a summer student I was unable to make a massive difference as they had been working on it for months and it was an important piece of work.
My graduate mentor was extremely helpful, professional and friendly and would give me advice on anything I asked for.
Varied quite a lot. In my first week I was busy all the time. Other times I had work but it wasn't urgent.
Some of the work I did contributed directly to a project worth hundreds of millions of pounds.
My IT skills improved dramatically and I learnt a lot about professional marketing. Did not assist my degree studies as I study an unrelated degree. Leart a lot of industry terms and concepts which greatly helped my understanding of the work I was doing.
The Company
Great atmosphere, everyone very friendly. Great work life balance and work hard/ play hard attitude.
Lots of events/ tours/ departmental overviews/ socials organised ensuring that we had a fun and varied month with the opportunity to learn as much as possible about the company, what it does and where it operates.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Savills is clearly a market leader and probably the best firm to work for in terms of training and development, employment benefits, and ability to work on landmark transactions.
The Culture
Lots of events were organised allowing us to meet each other. This included a rounders social in Hyde Park, tours of the City of London and a networking lunch in the boardroom.
The industry is very social and the area around the office is full of pubs and bars.
Lots of charity and sports events to get involved with, from sponsored triathlons to hockey matches against rival firms.
