    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Working at The Walt Disney Company has been a really enjoyable year for me, whilst really enjoying the sector I have worked in I have had the opportunity to experience any different sector that I am interested in which has really helped me to gain a wide knowledge of the diffrent jobs available.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt like a part of the team from day one, the team in which I worked in made me feel like a valued employee rather then just an intern.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Throughout my placement I have had two different managers both whom have given me support and guidence when needed but let me find my own way. They have also helped me to direct and tailor my job in to the areas of business that I am most interested in.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Each week I have my basic tasks to complete which would keep me busy but as I began to get better at these I took on more projects to fill up my time, I was given full control over how many projects/ which projects I wished to be more involved in.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I believe I was given a great balence of responisbility, at first I was given much less and this made me feel much more comfortable and settle in to my role quicker. As I became more and more confident I was given more responsibillity to reflect this.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The Walt Disney Company provide you with much trainin, this is mainly whilst on the job but they also have 'learning expo's' where you can join courses that are suited to you. Whenever the managers of the company would complete a training course my manager would make sure that I would be breifed and go through the processes and tasks they have learnt.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • As I wasn't working in the main office I worked with a smaller team in a satellite office however the atmosphere was still great. When working in the head office the atmosphere was even better as everyone is upbeat and there is always lots going on!

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The internship was very well organised, I was the 4th intern in the role I am in. The HR processes were very smooth and quick. When starting the role everything was already in place for me and I began my handover.

    5/5
