The Role
Enjoyable 10 weeks, learning a great deal and meeting a lot of nice people.
Majority of colleagues very welcoming.
A very good buddy and line manager system available to give support and advice.
Varied freom day to day. Some days were quite slow however most days had at least a couple of tasks to do.
Never copmpletely responsible for tasks set, as majority of the time checked by an analyst.
Valuable excel and powerpoint skills developed, very useful for degree studies.
The Company
Good atmosphere, in my department in particular. People willing to stop and have a chat.
Good structure and organisation with good opportunities to try out different parts of the bank.
Big investmenet with a lot of training and feedback sessions available.
Company Parties/Events
Future employment at RBS is very appealing due to the people I have worked with and atmosphere in the office.
The Culture
A lot of great chances to socialise with other interns from across the bank, as well as graduate employees.
Not too hard to find cheap food, but everything else pretty expensive.
Good selection of bars and pubs.
Training included a community day and intern events encouraged activities outside of work.
