The Role
I really enjoyed the internship and have met some extraordinary people as well as doing some interesting work and gaining valuable skills.
I really feel as though I helped them and ended up feeling part of the office.
If I ever had any questions I had no problems asking them, and there was constant training throughout the internship as well as feedback sessions.
Apart from the odd day where there was little work, I was always busy, or had something I could be doing.
As time went on and my knowledge grew, I was given more responsibility.
Particularly communication and teamwork skills, as well as skills I can use in future audit work.
The Company
Depending on whether you were in the office or not, it was occasionally dead as people were on holiday or all at the clients site, but the atmosphere in general was fantastic!
So much time and effort went into the organising and this showed. The training and organising meetings, feedback, it was truly seamless.
Organising a 2 day bookkeeping course which was paid for, being sent to clients often, so a lot of time and effort was put into myself.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Just a partner interview to go! Hopefully I will get through.
The Culture
We met up a few times out of work and had a great time, playing football each week as well as all being invited to the summer ball.
I was living at home so a large amount of cost was saved, but parking was expensive.
Depends on which day you go out, usually good on the weekends.
There was so much: 5-aside, badminton, tennis, bowling, pool, as well as the summer ball and other charity events.
