The Role
A lot of useful experience, friendly people and overall amazing experience.
I was treated as part of the audit team from day one, being asking to perform tasks that a first or second year graduate would perform.
Whenever I had a question they were happy to help and they also checked up on me every so often to make sure I was getting on okay. They all explained my work clearly so as I knew exactly what I was doing.
The day's flew by very fast due to having a wide range of different tasks to do.
I was treated as part of the audit team. I got to interact with clients on a daily basis.
It gave me a view of how the theoretical parts of my degree are carried out in practice. I will be able to use all the skills I learned in any place of work I work in in the future.
The Company
The office is lively and everyone is very friendly and stops to talk to you. At the same time everyone is hard working and gets their heads down to get the work done.
I was told from the very first day the work I'd be doing and the clients I'd be working on. IT made for a seamless experience.
A trip down to Birmingham gave us all the class room learning time that we needed to gain a basic insight into our roles.
Subsidised Canteen
The statistics say that PwC offer jobs to over 90% of their interns. The Statistics don't lie as I am in!
The Culture
My internship group organised nights out and we got to attend any office social activities that we wanted to.
I've lived in Glasgow all my life and it's good value compared to Edinburgh or London.
Lot's of clubs, pubs and restaurants on every street. Plenty for everyone.
Office football as well as office social events were for interns and staff alike.
